What we collect, and what we don't

This is short because we genuinely don't collect much. We're a small practice, not an advertising business.

When you book a call

We collect your name, plus either your email address (if you choose Google Meet) or your phone number (if you'd rather we call you), any notes you write, and your browser's timezone so we don't schedule you at 4am.

That information is used to put the call on the calendar, send you the invite, and prepare for the conversation. That's it. You are not added to a mailing list, you will not receive a marketing sequence, and we do not sell, rent, or share it with anyone.

Your booking creates an event in our Google Workspace calendar and sends us a notification email through Resend, our email provider. Both are processors acting on our behalf.

When you just visit

We use GoatCounter for analytics. It sets no cookies, does not track you across other websites, and does not build a profile of you. It tells us which pages get read and which buttons get clicked, in aggregate.

Because we set no cookies and run no advertising trackers, there is no consent banner on this site. That's deliberate — those banners exist to make surveillance legal, and we'd rather just not do the surveillance.

If you call us

Calling us rings a person first. If nobody picks up, one of two things happens.

Voicemail. A short greeting, then a beep, like any voicemail — the message you leave is a recording, which is the point of leaving one. It comes to us by email so we can listen before calling you back.

Or an automated assistant, if one is running on the line. Its first sentence tells you two things: that it's an assistant, and that the call is recorded. It never pretends to be a person. It asks when's a good time to reach you and whether there's anything we should know first — that's the whole call. What you say is recorded and transcribed so a human can read it before calling you back.

Either way it's used for one thing: calling you back prepared. Ask and we'll delete the recording.

How long we keep it

Calendar events and the notification emails stay in our systems as ordinary business records. If we never end up working together and you'd like your information removed, ask and we'll delete it — no process, no form, just email or call.
